Finally, we went to this Malaysian restaurant after two or third time bad luck 'coz there is always long queue. Tonight , we went straight to the tiny winy table literally.

Soft and crispy Roti with onion - nice Sambal and curry

Finished the dinner with Ice Kachang - too sweet by my standard but decent taste compared to other Malaysian stall

Andy Lau Concert 2008

Finally, the tickets are ready to be picked up!

We're not a big fan of him but I think it would be a worthed concert to go.

We started to download his songs and watch the karaoke in YouTube ---> We Tried to be The Fans.

Talking about a real fans , my friend (H) is a real die-hard fan of Andy lau.Every time we went for the karaoke , he ALWAYS (*I Stressed this word ; ALWAYS*) sings his songs. Well , he sang really well with exact tones and pronunciation as Andy Lau sing so he's damn good singer man to the point he can monopolize the microphone for the entire karaoke.

To prove his love to Andy Lau , he went to the Korean/Hong-ki hairdresser in the chinatown and the conversation goes like this:

* The stylist washed and the blow dried his hair *

HairStylist ( HS ) : So.....how would you like the style today? *with broken english*

My Friend : Hmmm......
* slowly picked up something out of his pocket like Chow Yun Fat in the God of Gambler movie *

My Friend : I wanna be like him ............ a newspaper with ANDY LAU picture on it!!!

HS : * Speechless *...................... Okay!!

Man I couldnt believe someone can be a fanatic to celebrity especially a male! (U!*(*&@&!)&!*&

Exciting week

Ghee..... it has been a really hectic week so far!

Last Sunday - we went for the City2Surf Run , wake up 6am and finished @4pm.Had a early dinner and went back and you can guess what happen next.........sleeping the whole night.All aching starting to take its territory....only sleep and a pray can help.But I am a secular minded person so the latter wasn't a preferred option.

Monday - busy day in the office to prepare the staff for the next 2 days since I would be away for the conference.

Tuesday - wake up 4am to catch a coach ,which never arrived until 6am, to Hunter Valley .Damn I gotta wait in central station for 1hr in freezing winter cold.I could've join the homeless ' conversation around the bond fire.....:P Well it's totally my fault anyway since I deleted the invitation email sent last week. Arrived at the conference , rego and started an exciting conference , team building (we made some short movie with the theme of "Brokeback Mountain" so gay) and listening to some crap until 5pm. Once the movie been released , I'll post it here.

Anyway I been nominated for the "best cameramen" but I was close but not close enough !!

Had the boring gala dinner with bunch manager I haven't got the clue. Sat next to the gay guy who laughing all the way when they played the movies everyone created. I wasn't sure if it was a funny clip or he just drank too much white wine ( that like 5-7 glasses ). Finished at 12pm!

Wednesday - Wake up @6am, couldn't sleep properly.A much better day in conference , no much thinking process needed. Hearing and listening to the big boss said and listening to a heroic speaker , who conquer the everest with his amputated toes and no oxygen. A good story about survival and been a positive and always look something that you can and want to achieve in life.

Thursday + Friday - Catch up the work I left behind the past 2days . Gotta work smarter coz on of my staff didn't come to work Her son got really sick. Went for the long and full paid lunch ( I swear this the 1st time I went for 1.5hr lunch) with one of the mobile lender.Nice!!

That sum up my tiring and short week!

PHOTOGRAPHY

I kept looking for the digital SLR that suited my beginner skills.

I don't want to burn my $$$ for the feature I wouldn't use.

Ultimately , I don't want to spend Thousands buck since I can be easily bored with the new thing AKA anget...anget....tai...ayam.......(Plain English translation : HOT.....HOT.....CHICKEN.....SHIT). That's what my girl told me!

Well that's really true in a sense!

But.......

I really want to make this my hobby and I love taking picture of a landmark or landscape.Who knows I'll be the professional photographer for my weekend job?

Extra dollars needed..........

Finally, I have decided to get the new Canon EOS 450D with 18-55mm IS lens ( the basic lens ).

CityToSurf Marathon

Finally , I managed to fulfill my ambition to run in marathon 14 painful KM from City to Bondi beach. I really wanted to have a go since 2 years ago but I always got something I gotta do.

And I asked a couple friends to join me in the Fun run.

With 1 training in the bag ; 1 week before the D-Day

I really expecting NOTHING, well at least I could finish the run without St.John Ambulance escort.

I was over the moon with the result ; 168.52 minutes for 14km
